Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Inteople collects, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We've written it to be read, not just filed.
01 Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to Inteople Limited ("Inteople", "we", "us"), a technology company based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and to the websites, applications and products we own and operate — including Healodex, EduNation, ReplyFlow AI and PalliShokti (together, our "Services").
Our role depends on the context. When you use a product we operate, or visit inteople.com, Inteople is the data controller. When we build or operate a platform on behalf of a client, that client is the controller and Inteople acts as a data processor — we process data only on their instructions, under a separate data processing agreement. This policy describes our practices as a controller; the client's own privacy notice governs data we process for them.
02 The data we collect
We collect only what a Service needs to function, and we're explicit about each category:
Information you provide
- Contact & account data — name, email, phone, organisation and the credentials you create.
- Communications — messages you send us through forms, email or support, and our replies.
- Service content — data you enter into a product to use it (for example, records you create).
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location, IP address, browser and device type.
- Cookies & similar technologies — as described in section 12.
Sensitive data
Some of our products handle sensitive categories — for example, health information in Healodex or data relating to children in EduNation. We treat these with heightened safeguards and only where there is a clear, lawful basis to do so. See section 6.
03 How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Provide, operate, maintain and secure our Services;
- Authenticate users and protect against fraud and abuse;
- Respond to your enquiries and provide support;
- Understand how Services are used so we can improve them;
- Send service-related communications, and — with your consent where required — relevant updates;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
04 Our legal basis for processing
Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we rely on one or more of these bases:
- Contract — to deliver a Service you've requested;
- Legitimate interests — to secure, operate and improve our Services, balanced against your rights;
- Consent — for optional cookies and certain communications, which you can withdraw at any time;
- Legal obligation — where we're required by law to process or retain data.
06 Product-specific notes
Healodex (health data)
Healodex processes health and clinical information. We apply HIPAA-style safeguards — encryption, strict access controls and audit logging — and process health data only to provide care services, on the instructions of the healthcare provider responsible for the patient relationship.
EduNation (students & children)
EduNation serves schools, which means we may process data about children at the school's direction. The school is the controller for student data; we act as processor, do not use student data for advertising, and apply data minimisation and access controls suited to an education setting.
ReplyFlow AI
ReplyFlow processes customer conversations to draft and route replies. Conversation content is used to provide the service to the operating business and is not used to train third-party models.
PalliShokti
PalliShokti handles financial and agricultural information for rural users. Financial data is protected with encryption and access controls appropriate to fintech, and used only to deliver the service.
07 How long we keep data
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected — to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Specific retention periods vary by data type and product, and are governed by defined schedules rather than kept indefinitely by default.
08 How we protect data
We protect personal data with encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access controls, multi-factor authentication for our team, secure development practices, monitoring and audit logging, and tested backups. No system is perfectly secure, but security is something we engineer from the start rather than add at the end. You can read more on our Trust & Security page.
09 Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Delete your data, subject to legal exceptions;
- Export your data in a portable format;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@inteople.com. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we process your data on behalf of a client, we'll direct your request to that client as the controller. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10 International data transfers
Inteople operates from Bangladesh and uses cloud infrastructure that may store or process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards — such as contractual protections — and, where you require it, can architect data residency to keep data within a specific region.
11 Children's privacy
Our public website and most Services are not directed at children. Where a Service does involve children — notably EduNation — we process that data only at the direction of the school or guardian responsible, with safeguards appropriate to a learning environment, and never for advertising.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products and the law evolve. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of our Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
